In our ongoing Meet the Team feature, we put a name and a face on the amazing members of our team. Today we would like to introduce Silveus Insurance Group Agent Christian Ochsendorf.
Where is your hometown and did you grow up around farming?
I grew up around Montevideo, Minnesota on the family farm, where we grew crops and raised livestock. I have a lot of great memories working the farm and learning so much about agriculture from my family. It’s truly great when you can combine doing what you love with the people you love, that’s rare in business, so I’m glad I was lucky enough to experience it.
What is your approach to customer service?
My approach to is to exceed my customers’ expectations and to make the entire process as easy as possible. I enjoy educating clients about protecting their business because I see how much it means to them. I’ve also learned that people have varying learning styles, so I’ve made it a point to customize my approach. This makes it easier not only for them but for me as well, and at the end of the day both parties are satisfied.
How long have you been working at Silveus and what do you like best about your job?
I just finished my first sales season with Silveus. My customers share so much with me and I dedicate countless hours to understanding their business to ensure that I’m offering them the best solutions. When it’s all said and done, these people are my friends and the best part of my job is going out there and visiting my friends every day, while working with them to protect their livelihoods.
What are you most excited about?
I’m very excited about all the new products that Silveus has to offer its clients. Revenue Protection and the Whole Farm Revenue Protection policies are great tools that our clients can utilize to better protect their operations. I get excited knowing that I can be a resource to our clients by sharing my knowledge to ensure they’re making well informed decisions.
What is one fun fact about yourself your co-workers don’t know?
My wife and I are huge coffee fans and we own four Dunn Brothers Coffee shops. Free refills for all Silveus agents…just kidding!
