In our ongoing Meet the Team feature, we put a name and a face on the amazing members of our team. Today we would like to introduce Silveus Insurance Group agent Jason Conley.

Where is your hometown and did you grow up around farming?

I live in Leesburg, Indiana now, however, I grew up in Warsaw and spent time on my grandparents’ farm in Claypool. It was amazing to see them work the farm and I enjoyed helping any way I could, it was fun to me. I didn’t expect to learn as much as I did and I’m so grateful that agriculture is in my background because it has taught me so much about business as well as ag.

What are your clients asking you about today?

Our customers are always interested in how we can help them manage risk. I take pride in being able to leverage my ag knowledge along with Silveus products to ensure our clients have options to choose from that best fit the needs of their business. I don’t make decisions for them, instead I lay out the information they need to know, this way, customers are able to make well-informed decisions about their enterprise.

What is your approach to customer service?

My approach is simple, provide customers with the latest data in an ever-changing industry. This can sometimes be difficult since we work with many unknowns as it relates to weather and such, however, that’s where our vast policy offerings make a difference and separates us from the rest. Educating our customers about Silveus products and customizing a plan for their business is what my customer service approach is all about.

How long have you been working at Silveus and what do you like best about your job?

I’ve been with Silveus since 2008, it’s been an exhilarating experience. I truly enjoy providing a service that actually helps a client in time of need. Our customers depend on us to provide solutions to problems they face, being subject matter experts is what I enjoy most about my job because I’m able to help customers better manage their farm.

What are you most excited about?

I’m always excited to meet new clients. To learn about their business and daily operations and to review farm data, while showing them plans for future farming seasons are all very exciting endeavors. These people become more than business acquaintances they become my friends and it’s always a great time meeting new ones.

What is one fun fact about yourself your co-workers don’t know?

I like spending my free time on Lake Tippy with friends and family. It’s a great place to relax, unwind and disconnect from all my electronics and appreciate the simple life.
