In our ongoing Meet the Team feature, we put a name and a face on the amazing members of our team. Today we would like to introduce Silveus Insurance Group agent Nicole Metcalf.

Where is your hometown and did you grow up around farming?

My hometown is Janesville, Wis. I grew up on a 6,000-acre crop farm and continue to farm with my family. We grow corn, soybeans, wheat, and canning crops.

What are your clients asking you about today?

Many farmers in the Wisconsin area grow a variety of canning crops and run pretty diverse operations, so I get plenty of questions about Whole Farm Revenue Protection (WFRP), an insurance product offered through Silveus. WFRP allows farmers to insure historic revenue across all commodities on the farm under one insurance policy, rather than each individual commodity. It is designed for farmers to insure between 50 to 85% of their gross revenue.

What is your approach to customer service?

My approach is to constantly provide exceptional customer service, making myself available whenever customers need me. I believe my job is helping customers find the best insurance products for their farm and make sure they’re prepared for a variety of scenarios.

What are you most excited about?

I enjoy bringing information to customers including weather updates. Layering in weather with insurance products can be a game-changer in helping farmers assess and mitigate risk.

What is one fun fact about yourself your co-workers don’t know?

Many of my coworkers may not know this but I actually have an identical twin sister. Having a twin sister is incredible, we have this phenomenal bond and I’m lucky to have her in my life.
