Randy was raised and spent the first 22 years of his life working on the family farm in Northern Indiana. After graduating in 1968 from Manchester College with a B.S. in Economics, he became a co-founder and owner of SYM Financial Corporation, a Warsaw based financial planning, investment and pension administration firm. He received a Master of Science Degree in Financial Services from The American College in 1981. After 29 years in the financial services business, he sold his interest in SYM and returned to the agriculture industry to become an agent with Silveus Insurance Group, Inc. in December of 1999.
His 29 years of training and experience in advising financial and investment clients has equipped him well to make comparative analysis of different financial products based upon historical performance and return to the buyer. Today, Randy brings that same analytical expertise to grain farmers throughout the Midwest to assist them in maximizing the beneficial effects of Multi-Peril Crop Insurance to their farming business bottom line. Randy has served on a number of community boards and is active in his local church. He enjoys snow skiing, fishing, hunting and traveling with Barb, his wife of 43 years. They have 3 children and 10 grandchildren.
